Andy Yorke is one of the most popular and richest English musician who was born on January 10, 1972 in Oxford, England, United Kingdom. In 2000 the band made their debut album “sorrythankyou” on Shifty Disco exactly the same Oxford Independent label who had released their debut single. This album was met with unfavourable reviews from the critics, and was not able to make commercial breakthroughs. In the year also, Yorke left the group for a return to work with Russia. A posthumous double-live and b-sides album was released in 2001 titled “Misc. Music”.
Andy Yorke released a solo album called Simple on 14 July 2008. Live shows in support of his solo material have featured former Unbelievable Truth members as backing musicians.
Unbelievable Truth were a trio member group formed in Oxford in the UK, featuring Yorke on the lead guitar and vocals. The group signed a recording agreement together with Virgin as well as released their first album “Almost Here” in 1998.
Yorke was a student of Russian at the university level, and then spent a year in Moscow in 1992-1993. Yorke came back in Moscow after 1996 in order to become translator with Greenpeace. He returned to his university in 2000 to pursue studies in Russian business and politics, and was working in the field up to his return to the studio to working on his debut album as a solo artist, Simple. He’s currently pursuing his PhD in the field of Government in The London School of Economics.
On 19 February 2005, at Oxford’s Zodiac, Unbelievable Truth reunited for a single show where they played fifteen songs as a tribute to victims of the Asian tsunami that had hit India and Thailand in late 2004. They also reformed briefly to play the final night at the Zodiac in May 2007, before it closed down to be converted into a Carling Academy venue.
