Brandon Tanev is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on December 31, 1991 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The 30th of March, 2016 Tanev was signed by The Winnipeg Jets. Tanev played in three games for the Jets in the final stretch of the season.
On March 27, 2018, Tanev scored his first career NHL hat trick, in a 5–4 shootout win over the Boston Bruins. On July 22, 2018 the Jets re-signed Tanev to a one-year, $1.15 million contract extension.
On July 1, 2019, Tanev left the Jets and signed as a free agent to a six-year, $21 million contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Tanev scored his first goal with the Penguins on October 16, 2019 against the Colorado Avalanche.
In his first pro season Tanev divided his time among the Jets as well as his team’s AHL affiliate known as that of the Manitoba Moose. On the 4th November of 2016 Tanev recorded his two first NHL goals during a 5-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings. Tanev completed his season with 4 points (2G 2A) during 51 matches with the Jets as well as 9 points (2G 7A, 2G) over 23 appearances with the Moose.
In this year’s NCAA Championship game, Tanev scored the game-winning goal that gave the Providence Friars their first ever national championship. The 13th of April, 2015 Tanev won the Hockey East Player of the Week. Tanev played his first ever college two-goal game in February 26th, 2016 at UMass.
On July 10, 2017, the Jets re-signed Tanev to a one-year, one-way contract worth $700,000.
