Brian Savage is one of the most popular and richest Ice Hockey Player who was born on February 24, 1971 in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. After the 2005-2004 NHL lockout in 2004, Phoenix purchased his deal for $1.9 million. Savage agreed to a single-year contract to the Philadelphia Flyers prior to the 2005-06 NHL season. After a single season with Philadelphia, Savage announced his retirement on the 21st of September the 21st of September.
After a few seasons playing for the Canadiens, Savage was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes on January 25 2002. He was also given a 2002 3rd round pick in exchange in exchange for Sergei Berezin. On the 27th of December 2003, Savage scored his first Coyote goal at Jobing.com Arena. The next day, he was transferred for the St. Louis Blues for their playoff run. Because of the terms of the deal the Blues were able to claim him from waivers Phoenix during the off-season.
Savage became the first Montreal Canadien in the history of Joe Malone in 1917 to score the score of six in a road match in which he scored three goals as well as two assists in a game against the Islanders on April 8th 1999. Savage also scored the Canadiens the first hat-trick on the record in Bell Centre history on October 7th the 7th of October, 1996. After a string of fast starts during the month of October , and then fading throughout the remainder of the seasons, Savage became known as hockey’s “Mr. October”.
