Chester Pitts is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on June 26, 1979 in Inglewood, California, United States. Pitts joined Seattle as an unrestricted player prior to the 2010. NFL season but was unable to fully recover from his surgery in the off-season to be able to participate in the opening game of the season. Pitts played in seven games, playing in 5 of them, and was able to make his first playoff appearance for the second time in his career.
Pitts was selected into the first round in 2002’s NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. He played in every game for the first eight seasons of the Texans playing either left guard , or at left tackle. In his final season with this team back in 2009 Pitts only participated only two matches, and both of them were his first. In the final game of that campaign, Pitts injured his right knee, which ended his season, and then requiring microfracture surgery.
In Super Bowl XLII, the NFL broadcast a commercial featuring Pitts along with Texans player Ephraim Salaam. In the commercial, Pitts and Salaam reminisce about the time Salaam met Pitts, “this big guy,” carrying groceries to an establishment near San Diego State University, which both of them attended. Pitts was a committed oboist who had never played football, was persuaded by Salaam to take on the team at the university and was so successful that he was selected for the Houston Texans in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft, while Salaam was chosen to Atlanta Falcons Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round of the 1998 NFL Draft. The music played during the commercial, which featured the oboe from Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 was performed by Pitts.
In November 2012, Pitts began a role as a sportscaster for KPRC, News 2 Houston in Houston, Texas. In 2013, Pitts participated in the 23rd season of The Amazing Race with former teammate Ephraim Salaam. After encountering several travel delays on their way from Santiago to Lisbon, they finished in 9th Place out of 11 teams and were the third team eliminated from the race upon arrival when host Phil Keoghan arrived at Lisbon Airport, as all of the other teams in the race had already finished all of the tasks and then checked in at the Pit Stop before they even made it to Portugal. Moreover, they become the first team ever in Amazing Race history to be eliminated at the airport.
