Don Gullett is one of the most popular and richest American baseball player who was born on January 6, 1951 in Lynn, Massachusetts, United States. Gullett was a player for the Reds throughout their 1976 championship season. In November of the year as a free agent and a free agent, he was signed by the New York Yankees. He had a 14-4 record for the Yankees in 1977, however shoulder injuries in 1978 brought that the beginning of the last chapter in his playing career.

In 1989, Gullett played for the St. Lucie Legends of the Senior Professional Baseball Association.

In 1993, he rejoined the Reds as pitching coach, a post he held until being ousted mid-season in 2005.
