Kokrak was honoured for being the very first player to join into PGA Tour in 30 years from his hometown and the surrounding area during an event held in the Trumbull Country Club, located in Warren, Ohio on December 21 2011. Kokrak was first introduced to golf by Trumbull Country Club at the age of nine-year-old, by his father. The occasion was attended by over 200 people. On November 6, 2013, Kokrak scored a hole-in-one on the 409 yard par-4 5th hole at the McGladrey Classic Pro-Am held at the Seaside Course in Sea Island, Georgia. This is only the second time in PGA tour history that a player has scored a hole-in-one on a par-4, the first being by Andrew Magee on the par-4 17th hole at TPC Scottsdale in 2001.
