JR Payne is one of the most popular and richest Basketball Coach who was born on May 27, 1977 in North Vancouver, Canada. The year 2009 was the time that JR Payne got her first head coaching gig in 2009, at Southern Utah. Over the course of five years, Payne led Southern Utah to a record winning season of 23, Big Sky Conference regular season champion, and her first postseason appearance in the history of the program during this year’s Women’s National Invitation Tournament.
On March 28, 2016, Payne became head coach at Colorado. The eighth head coach in program history, Payne replaced Linda Lappe, who was fired after only managing only a career 33-57 (.367) record in Pac-12 play. JR Payne inherited a program that only finished 7-23 (2-16 Pac-12) in Lappe’s final season.
