Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton is one of the most popular and richest Basketball Player who was born on May 26, 1986 in Naperville, Illinois, United States. The Los Angeles Sparks selected Wisdom-Hylton as the thirteenth overall pick in the 2009 WNBA Draft. Wisdom-Hylton was traded by the Los Angeles Sparks to the Chicago Sky in exchange for a 2012 second-round draft pick. She played in the 2012 season with the Washington Mystics. She announced her intention to retire as a coach after the 2012 season. In 124 WNBA games, she averaged 3.2 points per contest.
Wisdom-Hylton was a Ravenna Esperides/Glyfada player in Greece during the 2009-2010 offseason. She played 8 games, before returning to the U.S. as an assistant coach at Purdue University. She played 11 games for Elitzur Ramla, Israel, during the 2010-2011 offseason. She then went to France to play four games for Union Hainaut. Wisdom’Hylton would then travel to Vienna, Austria to join the Flying Foxes in the Austrian Basketball League’s 2011-2012 season. In 2012, she returned to Israel for a second stint in Elitzur Ramia’s basketball league team. She remained with the squad until the end of the 2011-2012 offseason.
Purdue University was her college, where she majored in organizational leadership and management. She was redshirted in her senior year, 2007-08, and would return to Purdue for a fifth. She was part of the USA U21 National Team that won gold at the FIBA Women’s World Championship, Moscow, Russia in 2007. She was a member of the USA U20 National Team that won a gold medal at the FIBA Americas Championship for Women Mexico City, Mexico in 2006. She was a 2-time All-Big Ten and 3-time All-Defensive Big Ten player. In 2008, she led the Purdue Boilermakers’ in points (13.3), rebound (9.2) and blocks (1.5). She holds the Purdue school records for blocked shots, rebounds and assists. Wisdom-Hylton returned to Purdue in 2009-10 to serve as an assistant coach.
On September 26, 2012, 4 days after she played her final WNBA game, Wisdom-Hylton signed with Purdue as their assistant coach for the second time. She took the place of Martin Clapp, who left the school earlier that month. On April 18, 2019, it was announced that Wisdom-Hylton stepped down as an assistant coach at Purdue to pursue other opportunities in coaching. On May 22, 2019, she was signed to the same position at the University of Wisconsin under head coach Jonathan Tsipis.
