Matt Chapman is one of the most popular and richest Baseball Player who was born on April 28, 1993 in Victorville, California, United States. Chapman was put in the list of disabled players on June 16, 2018, after sustaining a cut on his right thumb. He was activated on July 3. Chapman ended his 2018 campaign with a batting average of .278 with 24 RBIs and home runs providing solid baserunning and a solid defense too. He underwent an ulnar sided sesamoid bone removal operation on the thumb on the 16th of October in Los Angeles. On the 29th of October, Chapman received a Fielding Bible Award. The following day, on November 4th Chapman won an award of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award in addition to having won the Rawlings Platinum Glove Award with his former high school teammate Nolan Arenado. He also took home the popular vote to win The Platinum Glove Award. On the 14th of December, 2018, Chapman underwent left shoulder surgery. In the year of 2019, Chapman excelled offensively, hitting 36 home runs and 91 RBI despite averaging .246 in 15 games.

Chapman received a promotion to the Athletics on June 15 2017, and made his debut in the major leagues on the same night. In his 49 games with Nashville at the time of his promotions, he hit .257 with 30 RBIs. On June 16th, Chapman had his first major league hit, and scored three RBIs (including an important hit) in a game against New York Yankees. On September 6 Chapman was exiled from an event by the umpire Mike Everitt for arguing with Los Angeles Angels catcher Juan Graterol. Chapman protested at Graterol watching the Oakland batters and Graterol thought it was like the Athletics attempted to steal their signs. The remainder of the season in Oakland following the call-up on June 15 at hitting .234 having scored 40 runs, 14 of which were homeruns and 13 RBIs over the 84 games.

Following his signing, he made his debut in professional baseball with rookie-level Arizona League Athletics. The team was upgraded to Class A Beloit Snappers after three games. In his 50 games with Beloit the catcher hit .237 which included 20 RBI and five homers. Additionally, he was a part of a double-A game with the Midland RockHounds at the end of the season. The entire 2015 season spent in Class A’s Advanced Stockton Ports where he batted .250 with 23 home runs and 57 RBIs across 80 games. Chapman received an invitation to Major League Spring Training with the Athletics in the year 2016. He started playing with Midland and, after slashing .244/.335/.521 with 29 RBIs and 83 home runs in 117 games. He was moved to the Triple-A Nashville Sounds in August, in which he concluded the season hitting .197 with seven RBIs and 13 home runs over 18 contests. He was named The Texas League Player of the year for the 2016 season. Chapman began his 2017 season as a player for Nashville. He sustained a wrist injury after a check-swing in the first game of the season. He was then placed for two weeks being on the list of disabled players.
