Mike Bickle is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 25, 1944 in Plymouth, United Kingdom. Michael Leroy “Mike” Bickle, born July 17, 1955, is an American Evangelical Christian leader. He is best known for his leadership of IHOPKC (International House of Prayer). Bickle is the leader of IHOPKC and oversees several ministries as well as a Bible school. Bickle is the author of several books and has served as pastor of many churches.
Ernie Gruen, a Kansas City pastor published a 1990 report entitled “Documentation on the Aberrant Practices & Teachings of the Kansas City Fellowship(Grace Ministries)”. Bickle, who had published this document, announced that he would submit to John Wimber’s supervision and that he joined the Association of Vineyard Churches to address the criticisms. Bickle later stated that “We were tempted by the temptation to say that all the attacks were the devil.” We can see that God was involved in all of it – even using Satan’s items. Some criticisms were valid, especially regarding our pride; others were not.
IHOPKC organizes the annual Onething conference at the Kansas City Convention Center. In 2010, the event saw over 25,000 young adults attend. The conference focuses on worship music and sermons on prayer, evangelism, and Christian eschatology.

After serving as a pastor at several St. Louis evangelical churches, Bickle relocated to Kansas City in November 1982 to establish the Kansas City Fellowship (now called Metro Christian Fellowship). Kansas City Fellowship was eventually a part of the Association of Vineyard Churches, which was led by John Wimber. In 1990, it was renamed Metro Vineyard Christian Fellowship. It remained part of the association of churches until 1996. Bickle was the pastor at Metro Christian Fellowship and led a group that supporters and detractors called the Kansas City Prophets. This group included Bob Jones and Paul Cain. Bickle claimed that no Kansas City Prophets group existed but said that it “clustered many personalities into one group” and only one stereotype.
Bickle is a prolific teacher of prayer. After an experience in which Bickle claimed to have heard God’s voice, he began teaching the Tabernacle of David classes in 1983. Bickle encourages Christian ministries and churches to cultivate a culture of prayer through continuous worship and prayer.
In 1999, Bickle stopped working for the church that he was pastoring, Metro Christian Fellowship, then a megachurch of over three thousand members. He then started the International House of Prayer (also known by its acronym IHOPKC). IHOPKC is most well known for its daily prayer meetings based on its “harp and bowl” worship model that are held 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year since September 19, 1999. IHOPKC also established a Bible college, known as the International House of Prayer University and several internships for young adults. In addition to these training programs, IHOPKC also organizes various evangelism and charitable programs locally and internationally. The ministry currently consists of approximately 2,500 full-time staff members, students, and interns.
