Mike Disa Biography

Mike Disa is one of the most popular and richest Film Director who was born on February 14, 1979 in United States. Disa was named the director of Postman Pat The Movie — You Knew You Were the One in September 2011. This computer-animated feature film is an adaptation of British stop motion children’s television series Postman Pat. The original release date of the film was May 2013. However, it was moved to May 2013.

Disa was a storyboard artist for Nickelodeon’s animated film Barnyard (2006) as well as Disney’s animated film Tinker Bell (2008). After leaving Disney, he was asked to come back to the studio to create The Seven Dwarfs. This computer-animated prequel to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs would have been produced at DisneyToon Studios. Executives wanted Dopey talk to him, which he felt was a disrespectful decision. Disa quit studio films to pursue independent filmmaking after the film was cancelled in 2007. After spending a year on Rob Zombie’s animated film The Haunted World of El Superbeasto (2008), Disa was asked to direct the sequel to Hoodwinked, an independent computer-animated film. He had never seen the film before but was impressed by the script and was appointed the film’s director in February 2007. The film was completed in 2009. It was originally set for release in January 2010. However, its distribution company, The Weinstein Company delayed its release. Kanbar Entertainment, the film’s producer, claimed that this was a breach of an agreement. They sued The Weinstein Company in February 2010. Disa was then given six months to direct Dante’s Inferno: An Animated Epic, and Dead Space: Aftermath. Both films were adaptations of EA video games. Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. In April 2011, Evil was released.

Disa arrived in Los Angeles, California, in 1990. He was homeless for six month, until he got a job cleaning out individual animation frames from educational CDs. He continued his work in effects on films and video games, freelance work on Tiny Toons Adventures animated series, and animation for Hanna-Barbera Productions. He joined the Walt Disney Company as an animator. He worked on Pocahontas (1995), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996), Mulan (1998) and Tarzan (1999), Fantasia 2000 (2000). He also animated Atlantis: The Lost Empire (192001), Treasure Planet (2002). He also assisted with Pooh’s Heffalump Movie (2005). Before working on Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003), he spent a year developing Wings, a movie that was never produced by Warner Bros. The Origin of Stitch (2005) was his direct-to-DVD short sequel of Disney’s 2002 Oscar-nominated movie Lilo & Stitch. He also directed and co-wrote it. The DVDX nomination for best additional material was given to The Origin of Stitch.
