Reggie Wilkes is one of the most popular and richest Football Player who was born on May 27, 1956 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, United States. Wilkes and his group have been featured in numerous media outlets including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and CNBC. Wilkes, along with two partners, founded Pro Cap, a registered investment advisory company that specialized in lifestyle and investment management for professional athletes. Later, they sold the business to Mercantile Trust Bank in Baltimore. Wilkes remained as its senior vice president and headed up its entertainment and sports divisions. Wilkes, who was a Merrill Lynch employee in 2007, founded “The Wilkes Sports Management & Advisory Group”. He then moved to Janney Montgomery Scott LLC where he specializes in wealth management for high-net worth athletes in the NFL, NBA, and MLB.
Wilkes had 88 tackles in his first NFL season with the Eagles. He also co-led the team’s five fumble recovery efforts with Bill Bergey and Bill Petty. In 1978-79, he was named to both the UPI- and Pro Football Weekly All-Rookie Teams. Wilkes was a regular-season player in the first three NFL seasons. He also played outside linebacker for the 1980-81 Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl XV. Wilkes spent eight seasons with Eagles before he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. Wilkes completed his career with the Falcons for two years. Wilkes was inducted into Georgia Tech Hall of Fame in 1989. Wilkes was inducted into Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
