Hamilton has been signed by Houston Rockets at the beginning of the 1999-2000 NBA season. He appeared at 22 matches and started seven. He was injured with a lower back strain, and was put as an injured player for almost two months, until his release on the 13th of January in 2000. His average for the season was 12.4 minutes 3.7 score, 4.1 rebounding as well as 0.6 blocks per match for the Rockets.
